INTRODUCTION

I moved to Sevilla for 3 months (January to April 2023) for an internship at an art school where I worked as marketing/workshop assistant and graphic designer.

The experience is part of Erasmus + and it is funded by the EU.
Rather than focusing on University courses, this tackles training and work experience for post graduates, along with a few courses I have taken on entrepreneurship and spanish.
Some of us from the program organized an exhibition named "Entrelazar" which means "Intertwine" .

It took place in March 2023 at LAB Sevilla.
The base theme was "Interculture" and each exhibitor had to produce
work inspired by their experience living in Spain.
THE COMIC STRIP

My idea is inspired by something just as simple as being "a regular" at
a local bakery in town and getting empanadillas.. way too often!

Oftentimes, we find comfort and a sense of belonging in the smallest things in life, for example: food!

To everyone their own, but a pattern I've been noticing since I moved abroad in 2016 is
that I have always had my favorite place to go to; I like the idea I now have my
beloved shops and places in each country I lived in.

From Italy to Seattle, to Dublin to Seville!

I illustrated these feelings of love and comfort through a quirky comic strip,
metaphorically representing them as an X-Ray heart and
 an extra cozy empanada-shaped bed.
