I was commissioned to create two illustrations for Rosemaji Fest, an event that took place in Reggio Emilia, Italy, which meant to introduce people in the city to the Ukrainian Culture.

I have focused on character design, bringing in elements from textures and garments from traditional
clothing and flowers, all bright and colourful details typical of this beautiful culture.

Ferns have for long been an interesting and odd plant.
Due to their ability to reproduce with no flowers, they were seen as special and mysterious,
hidden from all the other plants.
They have always grown in dark, humid and scary places and, according to tales,
they have overtime maintained some secret knowledge.

All plants bloom with flowers, except the fern, which magic flower is believed
to bloom only once per year during the night of summer solstice.
