OVERVIEW:
This project is based on sexuality.
I believe we need more representation of LGBTQ+ content, so I have created
a series of prints that would work well together as a whole, or even individually.
I wanted to represent what it feels like when coming to terms with your sexual orientation
(which is a journey of self discovery), and the female body.
Whether cisgender, transgender or non-binary, there is often this unhealthy sexualization of the female figure and, queer WLW relationships in this case, are often seen as a mere attraction to body parts between two people, leaving completely out the emotional component, which I think should never be left out. Embarking a queer journey challenges the way you were raised,
how society sees you, and accepting yourself as well.
Each image has a meaning, and I am hoping that you can somehow relate if you are LGBTQ+,
or simply appreciate my illustration work.

STYLE CHOSEN:

I wanted it to keep things simple but, at the same time, bring a feminine feel to the images
by using curvy lines and small decorative dots to add character.
The reason I have illustrated naked figures come from my personal experience of feeling
really exposed when I figured out who I was, and I wanted to depict feminine figures in a beautiful
and slightly romantic way.
